How much are commissions?
- Commission price is currently £50 / $63
What does this include?
- A portrait commission of whatever you desire. The design can vary wildly depending on what you want to include (animals, patterns, flowers, gemstones, etc etc) however please note this is limited to a shoulder-up portrait and limited to one person within the portrait. Whilst I offer a lot of artistic freedom on your behalf, please note that I will not accept commission ideas that I deem are too overambitious. This is for both our benefit - I want to ensure you will be 100% satisfied with what I produce for you.
- Portraits can be any size you desire, up to 8x10”
- Portraits are drawn using prismacolour pencils on Strathmore toned grey paper.
- Whilst I primarily use coloured pencil, I'm also open to incorporating gold ink, acrylic, watercolour, and gauche paint
- Extra goodies are also thrown in, including surprise prints from my site :)
- This price also includes shipping costs.
What do I need to do?

- Please provide information on what exactly you want drawing - I am more than happy to create a design for you but if you have something specific in mind, feel free to send me a sketch / detail on how you want it to look.
- Attach a main photo (plus any additional photos for reference) that you want drawing. This must include the face you want drawing (whether that is you / someone you know / a model) but feel free to also include any photos of other things you want included.
- I am happy to communicate through email, however I am also very active on my social media accounts and would love to keep you updated with how your commission is coming on, so feel free to message me through instagram/twitter (@JessAmyArt) :)
- Please note that photos you send over MUST be of good quality. Filters on photos / blurry photos / etc are a big no no. If you’re worried about your photo quality, feel free to inquire with me.
I want to commission a portrait but I’m not sure what I want?
- Message me anyway! I would love to help you come up with something. Otherwise, my instagram/twitter account is full of photos of my work, you may wish to show me previous pieces that you like the look of and I can include components of that in your portrait.
- I respect other artists - Please do NOT send me photos of other artist’s work and ask me to copy their idea / draw it in my style.
Limitations
- Please note I do not draw pets / young children. For a rough idea on my style, please see my portfolio/social media.
When/how do I pay?
- Payments are requested once the portrait is completed and you are 100% satisfied with the finished piece. I ship commissions once payments have been completed
- I take payments through PayPal.
How long does a commission take?
- Completion time may vary however I aim to finish and ship off every commission within a week of me confirming that I will take on your commission. Shipping time may vary depending on your location (1-3 days within the UK, 1-2 weeks outside of the UK).
